Blog Title Change and Other Happenings.

We've changed the name of our blog to "A Merry Chaos" due to privacy reasons, but we also feel that as our family grows and our life together changes, it becomes much more fitting. :) So that's that!

The first update we want to mention is about our house: it looks as though we might not be selling after all. What we previously saw as a great option for our family may very well not be what God wills for us at this time. Our house has been on the market for many, many weeks and it has only had ONE viewing! The economy and real estate market is the big reason for this and there's nothing we can do to change that. Our real estate agent told us, "None of the phones in the office are ringing, none of these houses are selling". The owners of the house that we put an offer on told us they cannot wait any longer, and we cannot fault them for that. We are leaving our house on the market just in case we get a buyer before the owners of the other house sell theirs, but we no longer have high hopes for that. In fact, we're strangely okay with the outcome, despite the fact that we became pretty darn attached to the idea of living in the other home. Of course we were bummed, but we perked right back up to our normal selves shortly thereafter. We believe that God's plan is the best plan and we're going to keep our heads up and keep trucking along.

The next thing we want to mention here on our blog is the fact that we're in prayer about adoption. We have always been certain that we would someday adopt at least one child, and we were, in fact, set to begin the process back in 2008, however that did not work out due to personal reasons. Ever since, we've questioned when we would set about this process again and very recently, while talking with a close friend about her family's beginning adoption journey, we realized that we have been holding back due to nothing more than fear and uncertainty. In other words, while the adoption pull has consistently been there, we allowed doubt and mundane excuses to keep us from saying, "Let's seriously get into prayer about this NOW". So that time has come and we have been praying and seeking God on timing, agencies, and where to adopt from. While there have been some confirmations regarding the latter two, we want to be certain that this is all about the Lord's will and not our own. We don't want to put a crazy rush on it, but we also don't want to put it off any longer. We hope to update further on this topic very soon! And in the meantime, we're enjoying hearing about the adoption process for some close friends of ours who are hoping for a child from Peru! We are so excited for you Calley, Danny, Josiah, Isaac, and Amaus! :)
