July 26, 2010 will go down in the history of our life together as the day we began our first adoption journey. Just past midnight we submitted our application for international adoption. After much prayer and much contemplation, we feel led by God to adopt from Uganda, Africa. It took us approximately two weeks to fill out the intricate "Christian Questionnaire" and the very detailed application. But it's all finished up and has now been sent! The next step is to be officially accepted into the program.
The above photo is of us about to "send" in our application. We're going to save this picture for our future adopted child's baby book. We want to record and remember everything. This event has been a very long time coming.
I can't even tell you how excited I am for you guys!! I was already excited for you to adopt, but I had no clue you were adopting from Uganda! :) That just makes me even happier. After reading about Linny's journeys and her ties to the country, I am praying I will be able to visit Uganda next year with her husband's team. I'm so happy for you!
