It's A Good Day.

It's a good day when you can pay off $1300 on your credit cards and, aside from your mortgage, be able to declare your family completely debt-free. Praise the awesome Lord.

Robby is working right now and I'm at home with the kiddos (one napping, the other "decorating" with tiny princess dolls by placing them randomly around the house). His job is a really good one. The pace at Windstream is much slower, more relaxed, and his stress level is next to zero these days. Robby was introduced to some of the top people in his company last week and not only did they know him by name, but he said they told him, "You come highly recommended". Wow. I must admit that my boy is quite charming and almost disgustingly smart, but I wasn't expecting to hear that! So quite clearly, a little bragging is in order. ;-)

I am feeling much better these days. Baby bean is allowing me some relief from my recent battle with utter grossness. I still manage to feel somewhat "off" a couple of times a day, but it's nothing compared to what I had been experiencing. Talk about being immobile. I want no more of that, thank you! I'm 7 weeks along now and everything is looking up. My belly is gaining a slight roundness to it already. This happened with Jasper as well. Of course, it probably doesn't help that I've been making desserts like Hot Fudge Sundae Cake (accompanied with the world's best vanilla ice cream) and eating it like it's going out of style. I'm going to miss my flat tummy, but I cannot complain. I am grateful.

Robby and I are planning to make a few semi-large purchases soon: a brand new mattress for our bed (oh boy do we need one!), twin beds for Ireland and Jasper (they'll soon be sharing a bedroom), and I'm shopping around for a professional-grade digital camera. It's been a long time coming on the latter, but now we can afford to buy it with cash. I've been taking a gander around the 'net as to exactly what I want and at the absolute best price. However, despite the amazing selection out there, I am biased toward Canon.

I should get going and do some schoolwork for my birth doula certification. I've been slacking on that a bit. I hope everyone enjoys their week!

  1. I have to say I am a little biased towards my Nikon (that I got for Christmas) but I've heard both are pretty similar. You'll love it! Sooo much to learn but totally worth it.

Congrats on paying off your credit cards! God is so good. :)

(BTW, I changed my blog address. No longer private either)

We still haven't been able to sell the Lemon yet- so no camera here. I am praying we will sell it asap.

I am glad Robby kloves his new job. I know that is such a relief after all he has probably been worried over with alltel. Yay for him!
