Baking At Home.

I love to bake. And, not surprisingly, my family loves to eat my personal creations. We make a good team in that way. :)

My favorite of all things to bake are cupcakes. Oh the world of possibilities in a batch of miniature cakes! I gather more and more ideas for them all the time. Testing out my creative talents can sometimes be frustrating, but it's still fun for me. I refuse to purchase sweet treats for my kids' parties when making them myself is not very time consuming. A friend and I took some Wilton cake classes last year and afterward I decided that I like learning on my own more than attending a formal lesson. As Ireland gets older, she likes to help out more frequently in the kitchen and cupcakes make her the happiest. But we also bake some delightful homemade bread, rolls, biscuits, the occasional imaginative casserole, muffins, cookies, and plenty of other yummy items. A baked treat leaves the house feeling toasty, smelling good, and the tummy satisfied!
