A Year with God

The devotional A Year with God isn't what I was expecting when I ordered it. As with most devotionals, I was expecting personal stories from the author with a little bit of scripture to "neatly" tie up the typical, simplistic, devotional package. But this wasn't the case! Instead, A Year with God starts out with a large chunk of scripture and THEN follows through, in very plain terms, with what exactly was going on in said scripture and the value in what we have to learn from it. But what makes a gigantic difference between this devotional and others is that it is explained from God's point on view rather than a human's. Talk about amazing! It's a brand new way to look at every day situations, stories from the Bible, and scripture in general. I have been dumbfounded some days after reading, realizing how much has not "clicked" with me in the past simply because I was trying to interpret God's Word through my own human eyes rather than God's. If you really want to get started on a path of seeing things from the Lord's perspective- which is far more captivating than that of mankind!- I highly suggest purchasing and studying this book. It will change the way you think and certainly for the better!
