Busy as a Bee!

Things are good. I don't have time to breathe, I'm so busy. The photography business is booming; I'm spending all of my time taking photos and editing them. It's crazy. The kids are growing, learning, and enjoying their childhoods. I feel like Robby and I are doing a pretty darn decent job of raising them. They're so smart and so sweet. I couldn't ask for better babies. We just returned from a family trip up to Eureka Springs, Arkansas a couple of weeks ago (the above photo is the 5 of us at Cosmic Caverns). We went with Kim (Rob's sister), Lee (her husband), and their three kids. We met up with Lee's mother's family and they were so much fun to be around. Very conservative, very wholesome, and I loved hanging out with them. I bet they thought I was weird- pierced, tattooed, and always talking about Jesus! lol I even discussed the Pearls (Michael and Debi) with Lee's mom who, I'm sure, was completely taken aback that I even know who they are! ;-) Anyway, great trip. We plan to get together with Kim and Lee again in June for a trip up to the Buffalo River.

My mom was just here for a 5 week visit. She left today. I'm going to miss her. It's always a slight adjustment when she first shows up, but an even bigger one when she leaves. I spend the first couple of days afterward feeling pretty lonely. But then it's back to the same ole, same ole pretty quick.

My girl Lori is moving back to Arkansas from Canada this weekend. I can't wait to see her! But her husband will be staying back in Edmonton, Alberta, so she plans to fly back and forth for visits. I hope to go with her on one of those visits come this fall or winter. It feels like I haven't flown in so long. I miss traveling. I miss Canada.

Easter is coming up this weekend! I'm so behind on everything that I haven't even bought items for the kids' baskets. Plan to do that tonight. And we'll have a mini egg hunt here at the house like we do every year. I love hiding the eggs!
