I returned home from Alberta, Canada about a week ago and have been readjusting to normalcy. I had the BEST time! I stayed with Lori and her husband Dave and we took a 3 day trip to Banff. We were in the middle of the Canadian Rockies, everything was covered in snow, and we stayed busy every single day. We shopped, ate out for every meal (including a $40+ per person fondue meal!), visited the famous Lake Louise- which was solid ice that we walked across- and Fairmont Chateau Hotel, explored Banff, went swimming multiple times in our hotel's indoor pool, caught a couple of movies, and just had a fantastic time. One early morning, I opened the curtains to our back patio, and there were six huge deer staring back through the glass at me! It was AMAZING! And not only that, but while we were out one evening, we stopped the truck to check out another deer that was out walking nearby, and it came right up to our opened windows and licked us! Talk about a memorable experience!
Because the baby will be coming in late summer/early fall, I won't be able to visit Lo again for a long while, so this trip was extra special for me. There's no one else in the entire world like Lori. As soon as I am able to, however, I'm back up to Canada for another adventure!
