Several months ago I signed up to represent
Reece's Rainbow at our local Down Syndrome Buddy Walk. The day before the event, which happened on October 10th, I spent the day assembling fun little goody bags with information on Reece's Rainbow (RR) and building a board with kids that are available for adoption with the organization. The following morning I headed out to the Walk with my husband and two oldest children. We arrived, set up our table alongside the other vendors, and waited for the event to start. Soon people began coming by and asking about RR and how it works, checking out the board with the waiting children, and grabbing the goody bags. We were able to meet many people who have a heart for children with special needs and have the desire to adopt. We were happy to be a part of the Buddy Walk, to meet so many sweet kiddos with Down Syndrome and the families who love them, and to represent a wonderful organization that is doing so many awesome things for kids with special needs that deserve to be in loving families. We hope to do it again next year.
