Half A Year

Well, it's been 6 long months since I've updated here. My life is so busy, but so blessed by the Father. Having 4 kids definitely keeps me on my toes! Once I finish one thing, I turn around and am faced with something else that needs to be done or someone who needs/wants me. It can be overwhelming, but it's my calling. And I love it.

Baby Lincoln is now 8 months old. He's been crawling since a day shy of 7 months. His first word was, "Mama", quickly followed by, "Dada". He has also said, "Hi". He's waving now. A little. He adores Cheerios and graham crackers (and food in general). He is so happy. By far the most chipper, smiley child I have ever had. He brings me a lot of joy and warm, sweet love. He is a complete mama's boy and I eat it up every chance I can. All of the kids love him and I believe he and Amos will have a close bond especially. Much like the bond that Ireland and Jasper share. My children are such amazing little people. God is going to do indescribable things in their lives.

Spring has sprung and we're thoroughly enjoying the weather here in Arkansas! We've been gardening up a storm, planting fruits, vegetables, and pretty flowers out front. We've also been having plenty of get-togethers with friends and family. Social activity is one of my favorite things about life and no one can say that I haven't been taking full advantage of hostessing lately! As a matter of fact, we just had several family members over today for a big lunch and long walk around the property visiting both sets of chickens (we have a total of 25 now!) and checking out all of the new Spring blooms. It was so nice. And I got to show off my chicken, Charlie Apple, whom I love dearly. :)

Last month Robby, Ireland, Lincoln, and I went on a 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean. We left from the port of New Orleans visiting Costa Maya, Mexico/Belize City, Belize/Roatan, Honduras/Cozumel, Mexico. It was a good trip with lots of great food and time spent together. Ireland, in particular, had the time of her life! She ate to her heart's content (and then some!), spent hours at the onboard Kid's Crew kid's club each day, shopped while in port, had her hair braided in Belize, swam in the beautiful Caribbean, and enjoyed herself immensely. She very much wants to go again as soon as possible! And I'm sure, when the time is right, we will.
