Ireland turns 7!

We had a great Thanksgiving Day! We spent time with both my family in Little Rock and Robby's family in Conway. There was lots of yummy food, conversation, and laughs. Robby and I contributed to all of the edible goodness by making cornbread dressing, maple walnut pie, spicy molasses cookies, and homemade bread. My favorite part of the day? My big sister Courtney and her new husband Mike announced their pregnancy to everyone! I, of course, already knew, but I was thrilled for them to tell everyone else. It's been hard to keep my mouth shut! To say that I'm excited is the understatement of the century. I'm going to be an aunt by blood! FINALLY!


On Saturday we celebrated Ireland's upcoming 7th birthday. She requested that, instead of a party, she take three girlfriends to Chuck E Cheese's. So that's what we did! We had the girls' parents drop them off at noon and from there all of us (including both Robby and I, Jasper, and Amos) drove to Chuck E Cheese's and let the kids eat pizza, enjoy the shows, and play games for a few hours. It was so fun for them and very challenging for us adults to keep up with them at times! We then came back to our house and everyone had cupcakes, Ireland opened gifts, and the kids played a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey (Irie insisted) before the parents came to pick up their kids. All in all it was a busy, excitable, and tiring day. Everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the birthday girl. :) And now for photos:

















The pregnancy is going well. I'm 10 weeks along and I've been able to hear baby's heartbeat a couple of times with my fetal doppler here at home. No matter how many children I have, that's always such an emotional sound for me. And I'm far more excited about this pregnancy now that I know my sister and I will be expecting babies together and are due about a month apart. :-D
