My Babies.

Looks like I'm going to need to update the family photo on this blog. Seeing it today made me realize that I don't have a single picture of all five of us yet. Pathetic!

Anyway...

My son Amos turned 2 months old last Friday. He is growing so fast. He's such a long baby! Just like his sister. His newborn clothes are very snug in length, but still roomy in width. He looks so much like Jasper did as an infant. That makes me happy. :-) Amos began sleeping through the night a couple of weeks ago. He is also now in his own crib in his room. At first it hurt my heart to have him in there, but he honestly sleeps wonderfully in his crib. He's also begun sucking his thumb and that's what keeps him sleeping longer. I keep having to wake him up to eat at night and throughout the day! He's nursing only about 5-6 times a day as it is. Oh and man, does this baby ever poop! Nearly every.single.time I change his diaper he has pooped. It's insane. Although his newborn cloth dipes still fit him (for the most part), we're moving on to his size small stash. I just ordered him four brand new Mutts and they're freaking adorable. Yay for cloth!

Ireland is my sweet girl. She will turn 6 years old in just a few weeks on December 1st. This year she has decided that instead of a party, she'll have her friend Jenna over for a sleepover and a night out at Chuck E Cheese. She'll love it. Ireland has never had a friend stay over before (nor has she ever stayed over at a friend's house). Should be interesting! These days she is incredible at reading. I mean, wow, she is extremely smart. She reads beyond Kindergarten level, that's for sure. And her writing it great, too. She loves doing school work and is very into art. Coloring is practically an obsession. Something cute that happened the other day: I gave her and Jasper some mixed nuts for a snack. She picked up a cashew and said, "Look, Jasper, it's a cat's shoe." *melt* And she still calls lima beans "llama beans". I love it!

Jasper Pants is getting to be my big boy. He's getting so good with his colors now, where as before he didn't care enough to learn them. He is a total lover and gives me hugs and kisses randomly. Just because. He's still got such a little legs and Robby is hoping he won't end up being a short man. I think he's gorgeous either way. He's started saying things are "dangerlous" and acts so serious when using that word. Something funny he said to me today: Ireland got into trouble for something this afternoon and he calmly walked up to me and very softly said, "Mama, you don't be mean." I said, "Excuse me?" He replied, "You not spank sissy anymore." Ha ha! He wasn't being ugly at all, just very matter of fact. I did make sure that he realized he can't say those things to me, however it was still super cute. He really loves his big sister. They're the best of friends.

My kids are the best.
