So close!

Our latest fundraiser, plus a couple of donations thrown in, got us all the way up to $6,732.00 of our $7,100.00 goal! That means there is only $368.00 left to raise until we have the full amount of money needed to take the next step in the adoption process! Does this excite y'all as much as it excites me?! Because I am OVER THE MOON to finally be so very close to our goal! Granted, we're not finished fundraising in the big picture, however we are taking this step-by-step and, financially speaking, this is one of the biggest steps we'll have to take. I'm so happy to nearly have it behind us. And this is where I say to each and every person who has contributed thus far:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Whether it was purchasing a t-shirt or necklace, helping me at our auction, a random donation, or an encouraging message to tell me that you're praying for us- we are so, so grateful. Adopting a child truly does take a village and we deeply desire people to want to be a part of our story. Our daughter's story of coming home. The story of our family being changed in the beautifully profound way that adoption ushers in. We crave your prayers, enormously appreciate your financial contributions, and love, love, love knowing that you're interested in and care about our journey. It means more to us than we can convey. Whether you're near or far, relative or stranger, we love you and thank you.

Right now our plan is to finish gathering the remaining funds for this goal and to move onto raising funds for the next one. As I mentioned in a recent blog entry, we are in the process of selling our house to move to Northwest AR and we can't begin the home study until then, but in the meantime we can continue knocking out as much in the financial department as possible. Once we are moved and can physically continue the adoption process, having the finances already in hand will make things move along much smoother and more rapidly.

I look forward to posting again when all $7,100.00 has been raised!
