We're currently sitting at $4,538.00 raised for our adoption. We've made a couple of payments out of that total, so the actual balance in our adoption account right now is $1,160.
BUT that doesn't include the money we will profit from our first order of adoption t-shirts, which should be $200+. So that means we're looking at now needing $5700ish before we can move forward with the home study process. I am counting this as good news! It still seems like a lot of money, I know, but less than a month ago we had only $127.00 sitting in our adoption account and needed $6973.00 for the home study! Look how far we've come in such a short time span! That is certainly worth rejoicing over. Things might be coming along slower than desired, but they're coming along none the less. Every dollar earned is another tiny step forward in the direction of my beautiful, waiting daughter. She has been diagnosed with a heart condition and so while the clock ticks, I grow more and more anxious to bring her home to give her everything she needs (and a whole lot of what she wants!). She just plain isn't receiving the proper care that she needs where she is now and my heart cries out to be the one to give it to her as soon as possible. I love her, despite never having met her.
She is mine and I am hers and we need to be together.
Thank you to everyone who bought a t-shirt (or seven!) and contributed to mine and my family's journey. We need the help of every person who is willing to step up, whether they feel like it's in a "small" way or not. No help is truly small; it all contributes to the big picture.
