Last time I updated this blog I was in the homestretch of my pregnancy with the twins. Those babies are now 9 months old! And, wow, are they two little loves of my life. I am absolutely smitten with little Miss Scotland and Miss Jubilee. Their birth was a beautiful, supernatural act of our gracious God and I was able to have them in the comfort of my midwife's home (which we decided was wise since her house is located quite close to a local hospital). Scotland was born first, at 3:04 AM, and 14 minutes later Jubilee made her grand entrance into the world. I had an exceptionally talented birth photographer present to capture the event for me and her work was flawless. Here's a couple of pictures from that amazing night:
All six of my kiddos are doing so well and are growing at lightning speed right before my very eyes. It does a a mama's heart so good to see that, but I admit there's also a painful element to it. I love them so much and part of me wants to keep them small and under my wings forever. But alas, that cannot be and instead I must redirect my focus on what stellar human beings they're turning into every day. I am proud.
We spend our days eating, cleaning up messes and clutter, learning, laughing, calming emotions, and, while the weather is at an extreme, getting a bit too much screen time. I love my family. As I age, I feel more and more gratitude toward God for the bond that I have with Robby and our children. We aren't living in perfection, but we have an authentic, happy home life. We respect each other, we keep God alive in our words and actions, and we have fun. Oh and we drink lots of coffee (or Robby and I do, at least)... because coffee equals happiness. Everyone knows that.
It was warm and sunny last week and we were loving the weather! There was lots of outdoor play, climbing trees, bright red cheeks, digging in the sandbox (and tracking sand inside), and wandering through a small patch of woods nearby. Saturday was equally pleasant and we enjoyed a visit from Pawpaw and Mamaw B (Robby's dad and step-mom). But Sunday, well, that was a different story. The temperatures dropped drastically and suddenly we were surrounded by 6+ inches of cold, wet snow. It has snowed so many times this winter up here in the mountains that we are desperately feeling the need for sunshine- and plenty of it!
Thankfully we woke up this morning to much warmer temps again and we've spent our St. Patrick's Day watching the white melt away! Here's to hoping that old man winter takes a nice, long hike and we won't see him again until next year.
We are looking forward to many upcoming events this spring and summer. There will be a great deal happening around these parts! I'll be updating the blog about those things soon. God is great and we are anticipating His every move!

Love your blog, and love you all so much. Those babies are getting so big. Y'all are very blessed for sure. God is good!
