18 weeks

I was one big bag of emotions yesterday. I hadn't slept much in the two nights before and I was venting to multiple people. I have a lot on my plate that, honestly, I am so grateful for, but yesterday... yesterday I was feeling a bit run down. But today is another story! I got plenty of good rest and I am back on my feet. I'm 18 weeks and 1 day pregnant and feeling great!

God is so good. Really. I say that a lot, but man is it true. He cares so much about us, wants to happily surprise us, desires to be loved by us, never leaves nor forsakes us. For any reason, ever. There is no human or materialistic comparison to Him and His greatness. Recently He has proven to me, yet again, that He is highly interested in me, my life, and my family. My heart is so incredibly full.

Homeschooling has been awesome lately. The kids and I are enjoying MFW very much. Our routine is quite different now and I prefer it so much more to our old one. I can see them learning and developing every day! It surprises me how much we are able to get done in a seemingly short time span. We accomplish a lot! It's already felt so rewarding and I think Ireland and Jasper would agree with me on that. We're really into US History at the moment and are reading lots of stories about exploration and travel by sea. The kids sit around listening and really getting into what's happening to the characters in the story. It's awesome! We do at least one project a day- whether it be Science, Bible, History, etc. It's fun for them. And me! Things are coming along well, I'm happy to say.

This coming weekend Robby and I have hired a babysitter for the kids so that we can go out on a date alone. It's been far too long. I am very much looking forward to sitting down to a leisurely, easy meal and having uninterrupted conversation. That is truly non-existent for us (unless the kids are asleep). To think of how many times before children that we took those "little things" for granted. Ha! Now when the opportunity presents itself, we consider it to be a luxury. I'm thrilled to have found a local sitter with a great reputation that charges very fairly. Date night here we come!
